Andrew Langhoff, managing director, Dow Jones & Company, EMEA, and publisher of The Wall Street Journal Europe, is responsible for the company’s consumer and enterprise businesses in the EMEA region.
These businesses include The Wall Street Journal's print and online operations, as well as Financial News, with its U.K.-based financial services publications; Dow Jones Financial Markets (products for financial professionals) and Dow Jones Corporate Markets (products for corporate markets).
Mr. Langhoff took up his European role in January 2009, based in London. Prior to this, he was CEO of Ottaway Newspapers Inc., the local media group owned by Dow Jones & Company in the U.S.
Mr. Langhoff joined Ottaway as general counsel in January 2003. In 2004, he was named vice president for Internet development before serving as senior vice president for Ottaway in 2007. He was promoted to CEO in July 2008.
Prior to joining Ottaway, Mr. Langhoff was vice president of business development for the Walt Disney Company, with responsibility for Internet sites such as ESPN.com and ABCNews.com, where he was a member of the original launch team. He also held a similar position with Virage, Inc., a Silicon Valley technology firm which was acquired by Autonomy Corp.
Mr. Langhoff is a graduate of the University of Virginia Law School and Tufts University. He lives in London with his wife, Katy, son, William, and daughters, Caroline and Elizabeth.
