Dean Del Vecchio
Chief Information Officer and Chief Administrative Officer

Dean Del Vecchio is chief information officer and chief administrative officer, Dow Jones Corporate. As chief information officer Mr. Del Vecchio is responsible for shared global infrastructure and application services, information security, business continuity planning, enterprise architecture, project management, strategic sourcing and IT governance.

In his role as chief administrative officer Mr. Del Vecchio is responsible for creating a vision and plan to significantly improve administrative services delivery and underlying processes. He provides day-to-day management as well as strategic planning of all operational and administrative services globally, which is comprised of accounting and general services. He reports to the chief financial officer.

Mr. Del Vecchio joined Dow Jones in December of 2005 as VP enterprise infrastructure services and promoted to CIO in October 2007. In July 2008, Dean became a member of the NewsCorp CIO council. Prior to joining Dow Jones, he served as senior vice president of the service management practice at CIGNA. While at CIGNA he sat on the CIO Technology Leadership Council and Architecture Review Board. He joined CIGNA in 1998 as vice president of data communications services. Prior to joining CIGNA, Dean was Vice President of private banking service delivery at Citibank. Mr. Del Vecchio began his IT career with Merrill Lynch in 1985.

Mr. Del Vecchio completed his EMBA at Villanova University with honors. He is a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society and a governing body member of the CIO Executive Summit.
