As chief operating officer, he was responsible for strategy, marketing, circulation, business development and financial management for consumer products such as the Journal, MarketWatch and Barron’s around the globe. From March 2003 to February 2006, Mr. Larsen was president of Dow Jones’ Consumer Electronic Publishing division, overseeing the company’s Internet, licensing and radio operations. Prior to his appointment as president of CEP, Mr. Larsen was vice president and general manager of that business where he oversaw the business and operations of the Journal and Barron’s online units. Mr. Larsen came to Dow Jones in 1999 as the corporate director of strategic planning and development. Before joining Dow Jones, Mr. Larsen was a senior associate in the Communications, Media and Technology practice of Booz, Allen & Hamilton in New York.
